The Mealime alternative for planning on a budget
Mealime shut down on October 21, 2026. Its recipes moved to Meals Hub inside Albertsons Companies' grocery apps, and Mealime accounts and their data were deleted. BudgetBite covers the weekly plan and grocery list, and adds a weekly budget and a price on every dinner.
What you can keep doing
- Plan dinners for the week from 194 tested dinners, with quick weeknight options.
- Shop from one merged grocery list, grouped by aisle.
- Exclude allergens and foods you avoid, in every plan and list.
- Cook for your household, from 1 to 8 people.

Moving over takes two minutes
- Download BudgetBite and set your weekly grocery cap.
- Say how many people you cook for and what you don't eat. Mealime preferences don't transfer automatically.
- Add your pantry staples, then get your first week and its grocery list.
